Vodafone Qatar and Elephant Organic Wear surprise children at Rumailah Hospital with Eid gifts

Vodafone Qatar and Baby Elephant Organic Wear, the first organic clothing brand for children in Qatar, teamed up to surprise children with disabilities being treated at Rumailah Hospital with Eid gifts.

The two organisations celebrated the local tradition of children wearing new clothes on the eve and day of Eid by gifting each child with a beautifully designed organic outfit. The gifts were handed out by Vodafone employees and the company's brand ambassadors Saoud al Maadid and Ali bin Towar al Kuwari.

This comes as part of Vodafone's 'Shukran' campaign, meaning 'thank you' in Arabic, which aims to spread positivity throughout the holy month in a bid to encourage the country to show their appreciation for everything and everyone in their lives. Mohammed al Yami, director of external affairs, Vodafone Qatar, said:"Throughout the holy month we have had many corporate social responsibility activities under the umbrella of our 'Shukran' campaign, from helping people call home for free to distributing food baskets to families in need. However, seeing the delight in the children's faces today has been the most touching, and to have worked with a Qatari brand is very important to Vodafone Qatar's commitment to supporting local companies."

Aysha al Mudahka, founder of Baby Elephant Organic Wear, said:"We are honoured to partner with Vodafone Qatar on such a beautiful initiative in providing hospitalised children with our organic clothing. We hope the children love them as much as we've loved producing them."

Baby Elephant Organic Wear was founded by two mothers Aysha al Mudahka and Ieva Simkiene who are passionate about nature and sustainability. Baby Elephant produce comfortable organic wear with an Arabic twist for babies and toddlers, that are adorned with catchy phrases and locally-inspired designs.
